Why I use Firefox/LibreWolf

Before Firefox reader view:

A screenshot of an insane and cluttered desktop user interface with no fewer than 6 overlaid advertisements. In the midst of the advertisements is some article text.

After Firefox reader view:

A clear, simple article view with readable text and links. The screenshot is mostly whitespace and presents no visual distractions for the reader.

This is as clear an example as I can think of where a simple bit of technology allows me to wrest control of my brain away from advertisers. Thank you to the developers who made this bit of modern internet magic possible. It makes my life better every day.
